It's A Running Weekend!
Bring your energy and get ready to cheer for thousands of runners and walkers, from all across the country, as they speed their way along the 26.2 and 13.1 mile courses. Starting outside the University of Oregon’s famous Hayward field (15th & Agate), the courses run through 9 miles of Eugene’s streets and 5 miles of Springfield’s streets. The marathon course winds the rest of the way along the Willamette River bike path ending on the track at Hayward Field. Some specific spectator locations include: Alton Baker, Amazon, Maury Jacobs, Skinner Butte and Willamalane Parks. Or dine along the river/course at Valley River Inn’s Sweetwaters and Northbank’s McMinnemins restaurants.
The 26.2 mile race starts on the corner of 15th Avenue and Agate Street, in front of historic Hayward Field. The course runs the first 9 miles through south Eugene around Amazon Park and the University of Oregon. Runners then cross the beautiful Willamette River on the Main Street Bridge into downtown Springfield. This 5 mile loop ends with a scenic pass by the University of Oregon’s Autzen Stadium and the new baseball park on Leo Harris Parkway.
At the Eugene Marathon Health & Fitness Expo you can shop cool vendors, collect freebies, learn about new products, listen to local running icons and get excited to run on Sunday! The expo is also your only opportunity to pick up your race packet - this includes your bib number, timing tag, t-shirt, event information, and other great offers and coupons from event sponsors.

willamette valley music fest
Where: EMU - University Of Oregon
When:
10:00 AM to Midnight Saturday
Music, Film, Art!
For over 40 years, the University of Oregon Cultural Forum has produced an annual, free music festival. This year's WVMF features over 30 musical acts from a variety of music that ranges from bluegrass, blues and jazz to rock, indie and alternative. This year’s event will Showcase Oregon by incorporating many of the artistic assets of campus. Art exhibits at our museums and art exhibit spaces, film works by UO students through the Cinema Pacific, and of course music. In addition, the 2010 features the food and craft vendors of the ASUO Street Fair and we have recreational areas in The Village – spaces for tie-dye making, media swapping , and the playground for Frisbee, hacky-sack, climbing the rock wall, or bouncing in the Frog House.
The Main Stage will be located in the EMU Amphitheater and will be powered by the Bike Music Fest. Students and members of the Outdoor Program will pedal power to provide energy for the stage, and we will also have EWEB’s Sun Rover for additional solar power. Ride your bike to campus and join the Live On Bike parade as the Bike Music Fest takes off from the main stage and rides through campus with live musicians performing from 4 pm – 4:30 pm.
In addition to the main stage in the EMU Amphitheater, a full program of bluegrass and acoustic folk will be presented in the Ben Linder Room and the Buzz Café will feature contemporary and classic singer/songwriters. The main stage acts will be broadcast live on the campus radio station, KWVA 88.1 fm.
Because of the financial support provided by the student body, the in-kind community support and the many volunteers that make the event successful, the Willamette Valley Music Fest is free to all - showcasing our Oregon campus and all the unique artists we have in the NW!
Ticket Pricing: Free to public
