Arts Umbrella Arts Umbrella currently runs four auditioned orchestras, a beginning strings program, bi-yearly AP Music Theory classes, and summer camps in band, jazz improv, strings, and musical theater. Arts Umbrella was created in 1997 to offer educational and performance opportunities in music, dance and theater to students of all backgrounds in Lane County, Oregon. New demands for increased fine arts instruction convinced the Eugene Youth Symphony Association, a 74-year old organization, to expand and take the name Arts Umbrella in order to maintain arts training opportunities for students in the greater Eugene/Springfield area after reductions in funding for public schools eliminated and lessened several essential arts programs in our area.
Drawing from her many years of traditional voice training, her rich performance background, along with her spiritual studies, and inner work, Jennifer created a method of teaching voice that she calls, "True Voice". This method is all about opening and awakening one's true vocal expression. This work blends traditional vocal techniques with spiritual grounding and awareness to help the authentic voice to flow freely. Understanding that the voice truly is an expression of the soul, emphasis is put on releasing limiting beliefs that constrict the natural voice.
Cantare Voice Studio in Eugene, Oregon, is the training studio of Ms. Marieke Schuurs, MFA. The studio specializes in an organic approach to singing and speech and offers personal, individualized instruction to singers, actors and public speakers. Marieke works with individuals who seek training for any of the following: for personal growth and enjoyment; for vocal coordination issues; for semi-professional or professional goals.
Hands On Rhythm and Drum School is dedicated to serving community and individual wellness through the healing art of hand drumming, percussion, and group rhythm-making in a supportive, creative, and inclusive environment.
Harmony Roadhouse Music Studios began in the fall of 2000 as a Piano School, and has developed into a dynamic collective of music teachers. We are proud to offer the highest quality music lessons. All of our instructors are highly accomplished professional musicians, and many hold advanced degrees in their areas!
